There is nothing better than a beautiful healthy smile and it is our goal to keep our patients’ smiles free from disease and decay. Providing excellent preventative care is crucial in maintaining the best smiles and we offer all the latest dental therapies and treatments.
At our practice we take your dental health seriously and do everything possible to monitor it. Medical research has proven that there is a direct connection between your total body health and your oral health. Periodontal disease or gum disease can affect the heart and blood vessels. It has even been shown that regular flossing can increase your life expectancy by a number of years. We carefully check our patients’ mouths for signs diseases that can be seen there including diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and some types of cancers.
When patients come in for their hygiene visits they receive a thorough examination from the hygienist and Dr. Lederman. Dr. Lederman will check every tooth to assess your dental health and recommend any necessary steps to treat or prevent dental problems or gum disease. In some instances old dental work wears out and needs to be replaced. Dr. Lederman can discuss the available options with you to make your smile healthier using the latest techniques.
The American Dental Association recommends that everyone visits their dentist at least twice a year for a checkup, a policy which minimizes the potential for major dental problems. As an example, when left untreated a small cavity can destroy an entire tooth and spread to surrounding teeth. Caught and treated early, small dental problems can be kept in check.
Whether it is a crown, a filling, a cleaning or any other kind of general dentistry treatment, our patients always receive the highest quality of compassionate care and follow up.
